6:18 Wow! The bridge saved you from that messy rope tornado! 😶‍🌫The mountain may have blocked the funnel a bit from your view point; they are more "messy" in that regard. As for being in the Southland, yes, it's sad that the southland is now part of tornado alley due to global warming. In the 1990's we rarely had tornados unless it was within a hurricane. Now, we get hurricanes and messy tornados every year. It used to be we'd have years go by with no hurricanes, but global warming is making it that we get tornados and hurricanes more often....Are you trying to add "Storm Chaser" to your résumé, Josh? ! 🤣Great video!

My wife and I went a couple years ago and had a great time. We did most of the same hikes you did. Instead of Thurmond we went to a different spot, I can't remember the name, but it was a coal mine that had been owned by Henry Ford. It was really cool to roam around there. Best of all, we went on two white water rafting trips down the river, which was so much fun. We got some great pizza in the town of Fayetteville at Pies And Pints. We want to go back just for that.

When in Collinsville, you missed Cahokia Mounds. This goes back over 1000 years. You missed out on Lincoln's New Salem State Historic Site, about 8 miles northwest of Springfield. You skipped Dixie Truckers' Home. I worked in Braidwood for about 6 months in 1985, so I spent a fair amount of time eating at the Polk-a-Dot Drive Inn and even more quarters in the Centipede video game. You did miss the Braidwood Inn, where I stayed years before Steve Martin and John Candy did. The Launching Pad is in trouble right now and there are threats to destroy the Gemini Giant, so it is good you saw it when you did.

You should do the Paul H. Douglas trail in Miller Woods. It’s an excellent trail. Also in the adjacent Indiana Dunes State Park, I would recommend the three fine challenge. Really nice views and a quintessential dunes experience.

Been here twice, once in winter and once in summer, but it wasn't flooded like this either time. It definitely still has it's beauty when the water is lower. I'm sad you didn't get to do the Weston Lake loop trail because it definitely adds a different experience than the boardwalk gets you and feels a lot more wild. I can't wait to go back and do some kayaking and hopefully some of the longer trails if the water level allows. Thanks for all your content, it really helps us plan our national park trips, we just got back today from Alaska.

We had some crazy weather in the month of April! We love New River Gorge NP, I hope you get the chance to come back in the summer or fall. The trees are beautiful!

I went to the Chocolate Moose, played mini golf there too….challenging course. Also did Grandview at sunrise, it’s probably the best spot to see the sunrise in WV in general.

I have always lived in NC and been a beach person who hated the mountains, but you're actually making me want to go! That water in the cave looked so tranquil and I have never been to a waterfall.

We drove all the way to Arctic Ocean from Alberta last July 2023. We don't have enough budget but we made it by cooking our own meals most of the time and staying in the campgrounds, no tent set up just slept inside our van or we even parked in truck stops in some nights. We only stayed in the hotel (expensive) twice on the way because we didn't know there are so many campgrounds along the way.

You sold me on the gallery for a special occasion here but I haven’t seen any comments regarding whether or not to skip all the wine pairings with it. We are wine lovers but concerned it’ll over power the meals and have us really drunk by the end lol. Any suggestions?

Been to Vancouver 3x from CA to Vancouver on road trips. Very nice city and people are friendly. Love the fresh tropical fruits from the Market Place. Japadog is good and also the best tonkatsu ramen I ever tasted was G-Men Ramen Shop in Richmond BC.
